| Hi! I'm Kristen, a graphic designer and author + illustrator. I love to draw. I am partial to drawing a particular penguin. I draw Amelia the penguin every day. It is a little dose of inspiration to start the day, along with my cup of coffee. When I'm not spending time with Amelia the penguin, I visit with Goat + Pig and the other characters to see what they are doing. There are always new characters to meet. I hope you enjoy meeting some of them here. - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design, I worked for magazines and small boutique design firms where I honed my skills. Then I launched Key Design NYC. I joined the SCBWI Metro New York chapter in 2002. I served on the Steering Committee for 7 years and helped develop our first Illustration Intensive. On most weekends, I can be found volunteering at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art working on programs for people with developmental disabilities. |
